We look forward to an eventful, crazy

myBagFactory year back ...

While 2020 wasn't really our favorite year, as we were no longer able to travel and worked a lot from home, we much preferred the past year of 2021. We were finally able to pursue our favorite activity, traveling, again, and meet together in the (new) office to brainstorm new products and be there for you. The MBF year 2021 was very eventful and, in our opinion, went by far too quickly. But so that 2021 doesn't get forgotten as we start the new year 2022, we want to take a look at the most memorable events and new products of the myBagFactory year 2021...

New Year – New Office

After working from home for a long time in 2020, we were finally able to move into our new myBagFactory office at the beginning of 2021. This beautiful, large office is located in the east of Munich and is myBagFactory's first dedicated office. Here, we have a beautiful meeting room (naturally with high-quality leather armchairs) where we brainstorm new products and exciting marketing activities. We also all sit together in a large studio, so we're always in touch even outside of meetings. Of course, we also have many of our bags in our office and our own customization area. This year, we've been independently customizing your products here again. Of course, our kitchen with the coffee machine, where we make the occasional cappuccino, and the blanket from our now quite grown-up favorite employee, Dusty (Nik and Oliver's Labrador 😊).

Katharina No. 2

Ka(y), Ka(trin), Ka(tharina), and Ka(tharina) are the core of the MBF team under Nik and Oliver. Don't believe it? Yes! All our names begin with "Ka." As luck would have it, a new employee joined us in spring 2021. We asked her name, and Oliver replied, "Katharina," and we all thought it was a joke, but it wasn't. So, in addition to Kay and Katrin, our team now consists of two Katharinas, called Kathi and Katha. Our core team is also complemented by Qinglang and Yvonne, who actively support us in administrative and creative areas.

Katharina No. 2 (aka Kathi) joined us directly after completing her bachelor's degree and moved to Munich to work for myBagFactory. Since then, she's been responsible for the Sons of Aloha products, manages the MBF Instagram channel, and also takes beautiful photos during photo shoots. Nik also taught her how to emboss, so it's possible that your personalized product was embossed by Kathi.

New products

Handbag Debby and backpack Damian

This beautiful bag made of natural leather is something truly special. With its timeless yet unique style, it's the new 2021 women's handbag in the mybagfactory range.

Sons of Aloha bicycle, trolley, etc.

For all bike enthusiasts and environmentalists, we designed our sustainable shoulder bag in 2021. The bag features integrated click technology that allows it to be easily attached to the luggage rack. Not only that, but in just a few simple steps, it can also be quickly transformed from a bike bag into a practical shoulder bag with a padded shoulder strap. With a padded laptop compartment and reflective logos, the bag also offers dual protection, making it an indispensable companion for cycling. The Sons of Aloha range has expanded considerably over the past year, gaining several multifunctional products. For example, the hybrid trolley with backpack function. The practical 2-in-1 hybrid board trolley made of recycled and water-repellent nylon is simply adorable. One moment it's a beautiful backpack, the next it transforms into a carry-on suitcase with smooth-running wheels and a two-stage telescopic handle.

But that's not all! Sons of Aloha has big plans! Next year, your and our favorite Aloha products will also be released in new colors, and we're already working on new styles you'll love! Stay tuned! This year, Sons of Aloha has also embraced a bit more color. With the MALU duffel bags, which recently arrived in our shop, the SoA color green is now joined by pink, brown, and blue. These beautiful canvas duffel bags are the perfect backpacks for leisure and will bring a bit of color into your life!

In the fall, Katha and Katrin began redesigning the product pages in the MBF shop. We wanted to make the pages more clearly structured and provide you with even more information about the individual products. Therefore, we not only updated the design of the item pages, but also included a wealth of information about the products and the different types of leather and materials. The item pages now shine in a new light not only in German, but also in English, French, and Dutch.

Finally team events again…

Finally, finally, finally! Yes, the myBagfactory team was finally able to enjoy activities outside of the office again this year. The Oktoberfest in Munich was unfortunately canceled again, so we hope to finally celebrate our Wiesn comeback next year. Fortunately, the dirndls and lederhosen didn't have to stay in the closet in 2021! In October, the myBagFactory team went to Lake Tegernsee together. After a short hike and a fun ride on a summer toboggan run in our team sweaters, the whole team dressed up. We then went to a non-replacement Wiesn event in our traditional costumes and really enjoyed it, getting at least a little bit into the Oktoberfest spirit. We also grabbed a bowl together from the food truck near the office a few times and enjoyed it in the sun. Not only that, but just before Christmas, we had another fantastic Christmas dinner. There, we shared our thoughts as a team, enjoyed a delicious meal, and toasted the past MyBagFactory year 2021 with a little wine.

Overall, we're very pleased with the past year of myBagFactory and already have a lot planned for the next one. Stay tuned and have a great start to 2022!
