Oliver Strauß & NiK Strauß combine their many years of experience in fashion and accessories design, international marketing and eCommerce to create an innovative and individual concept.
That's how it all began...
Our performance promise
Before a new product like a backpack is added to our range, our team tests it in everyday use. This ensures high-quality workmanship and durability. Functionality and innovation are also important to us. As you can see in the picture, we place great value on ensuring that our products are thoughtfully designed and manufactured with versatility in mind.
For this reason, we have been working closely with select manufacturers in India, China, and Europe for many years and monitor every stage of production. We also have many of our products inspected by TÜV Süd. Sustainability is of paramount importance to us. We use vegetable-tanned leather and innovative recycled materials. We were one of the first companies to successfully produce bags made from ocean plastic.

With this in mind, we have also created brand lines for different styles and occasions.
After FEYNSINN's first purist, urban product line, Oliver came up with the idea of launching a new travel and luggage line. On a train journey between Geneva and Paris, he came up with the idea of offering high-quality, mid-priced suitcases. We tested many designs and materials and visited numerous production facilities to find a partner that met our quality and price criteria. We found what we were looking for in Anhui, and after a long design and development period, we were able to launch the innovative travel and luggage brand FERGÉ .
Fashion-conscious yet sustainable?
At myBagFactory, sustainability is a central theme throughout the company. But we're also fashion and trend-conscious. How can we reconcile the two?
Many companies bring cheap fashion products onto the market that are no longer "fashionable" after a few weeks and soon end up in the trash. Products from our brand lines are manufactured as environmentally friendly and fairly as possible. We place great emphasis on high quality and a long service life in our materials and processing technologies. We also offer our repair service – "repair is better than throw away," and even the best bag and the sturdiest suitcase can break. For us, this also means designing the product right from the product development stage so that wear parts are replaceable and potential defects are easy to repair.
But how can a sustainable leather bag also be fashionable? For us, this isn't a contradiction – our design team, led by NiK Strauß, develops beautiful products that are aligned with long-standing trends and are therefore timelessly fashionable. We don't always dye our products in new trendy colors, but we make sure that we have bags and colors that can be wonderfully combined with the latest trends. It would be a shame to have to put a beautiful genuine leather bag back in the corner after spring because the color is no longer trendy.

The step towards one's own happiness
This search was the inspiration for the first bag collection under the FEYNSINN brand.
Oliver & NiK were both employed and shared the desire to start their own small project, "It was time for something of their own." Initially, it was simply the idea of turning their passion for accessories, especially handbags, into something more. Oliver came from a marketing and e-commerce background, and thanks to the online sales channel, they could envision realizing their vision of high-quality, fairly priced leather bags.
NiK brought her design expertise with her and immediately deepened it with a degree in accessory design in Milan and London. In Milan, she learned every step of the way, from sketch to finished bag. In London, her studies focused on trends, market developments, collection creation, and how bags and fashion trends fit together perfectly.
NiK produced the first prototypes:
" Actually, they were just for me to test out what was possible. But I was often asked what brand my bag was and where I could buy it ."
That was the final push the two needed to quit their jobs and start their dream of myBagFactory. NiK & Oliver Strauß started in Geneva, Switzerland, producing the first bags exclusively in their studio.
Grown together
While studying design at the renowned MODAPELLA fashion and design academy in Milan, NiK met a good Italian friend. Based on her ideas and suggestions, the two decided to jointly develop an exclusive line of bags made of genuine leather with Italian flair… BACCINI was born.
Similarly inspired by your suggestions and ideas for bags for university, school, or work, our team collaborated with students from Stanford University in California on a series of bags for student life, whether for university, leisure, or the office. We manufacture these products under the brand name SID & VAIN .
