The myBagFactory Bucket List for Autumn – 12 Things to do in Fall

Do you think summer has gone by way too quickly, and thinking about cold, rainy autumn days puts you in a bad mood? That doesn't have to be the case! Sure, we're also a little sad about the summer, but we're also looking forward to some great fall activities! We've compiled 12 of them for you here. With this fall bucket list, you're guaranteed to put a stop to your bad mood even on cold, dreary autumn days!

1. Take an autumn walk

Or rather, not just one, at least two are a must! One in good weather and one in bad. Yes, you read that right, a walk in the autumn rain definitely belongs on your autumn to-do list! But a long walk through the forest in good weather is also a must. After all, what could be more beautiful than admiring the colorful autumn leaves while escaping the stresses of everyday life? If you leave the colorful carpet of leaves behind, you might even stumble upon some appetizing mushrooms and herbs. Just think of the aromatic dishes you can prepare with the ingredients you've gathered yourself!

2. Go on an alpaca or llama hike

If human companions aren't enough for you, consider a hike with alpacas or llamas. These furry friends transform every walk into an adventure. Such a hike can usually last up to three hours, and in the autumn temperatures, you can quickly get cold. You're lucky to be traveling with cuddly animals. Their soft fur will quickly warm you up and allow you to enjoy the rest of the walk.

3. Visit farmers markets

A trip to the farmers' market offers many artistic and culinary delights, including hand-woven baskets, textiles, handmade jewelry, and woodwork. You'll definitely want to bring your time, as there's so much to discover! After browsing the various stalls, be sure to take a break for a bite to eat. A warm tarte flambée, steaming pumpkin soup, or all kinds of sweets await you.

4. Watch your favorite movies comfortably at home

After a long day, a movie night isn't just for autumn. Grab some popcorn, hot chocolate, a warm blanket, and let the movie begin. Not sure which film you want to see? Then maybe these films are for you. For drama fans, maybe "Me Before You," for horror junkies, "The Conjuring," or perhaps a thriller like "Prisoners"? Those who prefer to immerse themselves in the world of Disney can watch "Frozen" or "Brave." How about an open-air cinema for you and your friends? Put a few blankets and cushions in the garden, point the projector against the wall, and you're ready to go.

5. Decorate your home for autumn

Whether it's homemade chestnut men, autumnal plants and pumpkins, or spooky Halloween decorations, a little autumnal decoration in the house is a must for that perfect autumn feeling!

6. Cook pumpkin soup and bake cookies

Warm pumpkin soup is also a fall must-have! Why not head to the farmer's market this year and pick out a nice, large pumpkin. Then, use it to make pumpkin soup for the whole family, using your favorite recipe. While the soup is cooking, you can bake some delicious cookies for dessert and snacking.

7. Hot chocolate, cozy socks and scented candles

These are three things that should not be missing on a cold autumn day!

8. Do an autumn photoshoot

Do you need pictures for your Instagram account, picture frames, or a photo album? Then autumn offers the perfect backdrop! Whether in front of a beautiful deciduous tree or in a pumpkin patch, autumn offers many creative photo opportunities. For example, place a beautiful leaf in front of your face or let some leaves fall into the frame.

9. Visit a museum

A museum

If the weather is bad, the museum is a great place to stop. Following in the footsteps of ancient pharaohs or Neanderthals? A car museum or art? Thanks to the wide selection of museums in Germany, there's a museum to suit every interest. Last but not least, a stop at the souvenir shop is always a must. Perhaps there are some great things to discover there.

10. Treat yourself to a massage or a day at the thermal baths

The weather isn't great again, you're shivering, and you could already fly off on vacation, even though your summer vacation wasn't that long ago? Then treat yourself to a day off somewhere near you and spend a day at a thermal spa with a good friend or family. If that's not for you and the spa is too busy for you, a massage from a professional masseur can work wonders.

11. Go on a city trip and have a hot coffee or tea

Once in the fall, you should pack your weekend bag and take a city trip. This way, you'll get away from it all for a bit and have something to look forward to during the week. Treat yourself and your best friend to a nice hotel in the city of your choice, go shopping, and enjoy a hot cup of tea or coffee in a nice café of your choice in the afternoon.

12. Picnic with campfire

Whether as a romantic campfire for two or with your friends, a campfire is a fantastic experience, especially in the fall. However, you should definitely make sure you have plenty of provisions. For example, you could bring dough for stick bread, sausage rolls, marshmallows, and cookies. If you have them, a speaker for background music is a must, or if you're particularly lucky, a talented friend with a guitar.

So now you have plenty of ideas to combat your autumnal boredom! We wish you lots of fun and a beautiful golden autumn.
