2020…

…an extraordinary year comes to an end.

2020 was certainly not our favorite year. Like many of you, we had to endure some setbacks. Since March, we've been working primarily from home and have rarely seen each other as a team. Enjoyable team experiences, like the traditional visit to Oktoberfest in Munich, were missed, and we couldn't indulge in our favorite activity: traveling.

Nevertheless, there are also some highlights in the myBagFactory year 2020, and because we don't want to end such an extraordinary year on a negative note, we now look back at the positive moments and events of the past year.

Say hello to new products

First, let's take a look at our new and updated products that made it into the myBagFactory shop in 2020:

Addicted to Black

For all black lovers, we've added several new black products to our range this year. A particular highlight is the redesign of our best-selling YALE handbag , which we now offer not only in brown but also in chic black. The VINCE shoulder bag, which has crept into the FEYNSINN family with its elegant, minimalist style, also has best-seller potential. But the beautiful VINCE wasn't the only addition to the FEYNSINN range in 2020; the practical, cool ZOE hip bag is also among the new FEYNSINN products.

We also now have our LEVI goatskin backpack in black. Unfortunately, this beautiful backpack is so popular that it sold out immediately. But don't worry: a new one is on the way!

Not new, but better

As you know, our designer Nik is constantly working on new ideas and designs. But that's not all. She and the team are also constantly working on improving our current products in the shop. This year, we've also made a few changes to popular myBagFactory products to make them even better.

Formerly FEYNSINN, now SID&VAIN. We saw potential in our 2019 canvas backpacks , so we redesigned them. In 2020, the small AKIRA canvas backpacks now also feature a new look and a new SID&VAIN brand logo.

Our long-established PIPER handbag has also undergone a major transformation. This high-quality women's handbag is now available in two versions. The PIPER, released in 2020, now also features a zipper. This beautiful leather bag is now not only practical but also secure for every occasion.

Working from home?

For anyone who's spent a lot of time working from home this year, we have another highlight in our shop. Our new Smart Work products arrived at the end of the year. These mouse pads and desk pads made of high-quality saddle leather are the perfect accessories for your desk.

Hello Vroni, Kay and Krissi + Dusty

We welcomed more than just new products this year; we're especially excited about Veronika, Kay, and Krissi, who joined the myBagFactory team in fall 2020 and are already part of the myBagFactory family. That's why we'd like to briefly introduce them to you here:

Veronika (aka: Vroni)

How old are you? Next question, please 😉

How long have you been at mybagfactory? I've been part of the team since mid-October.

What do you do at mybagfactory? I oversee social media and content creation. This includes managing the core brands myBagFactory, SID&VAIN, FEYNSINN, and Fergé in social media marketing (organic & advertising), creating marketing concepts, planning and implementing photo and video content productions, and much more.

Which product/task excites you most at MBF? I've fallen in love with the FEYNSINN brand. The minimalist approach the brand represents and exudes perfectly matches my personal style. Especially because FEYNSINN contains almost exclusively black products, because my motto is "Black is my HAPPY COLOUR!"

Kay (Finally a male support for our boss Oliver)

How old are you? 29 years

How long have you been at mybagfactory? Since November

What do you do at mybagfactory? I manage our current national and international marketplaces and work in the area of supply chain management. Monitoring performance, as well as planning and implementing growth strategies, are also an important part of my responsibilities. The creation, evaluation, and optimization of performance marketing campaigns on the various marketplaces round out my work.

Which product/task excites you most at MBF? I see enormous growth potential in the relatively new "SONS OF ALOHA" brand and am already looking forward to expanding the portfolio.

Kristina (aka: Krissi)

How old are you? 22 years old

How long have you been at mybagfactory? Since the beginning of October

What do you do at mybagfactory? I'm a working student in e-commerce – I support the team with newsletters, blogs, websites, Amazon, Zalando, influencers, image editing, and photoshoots.

Which product/task do you enjoy most at MBF? I like practicality, classic style, and modernity. That's why I like the black Akira backpack and the Tessa bag the best. What I particularly enjoy about working at myBagFactory is the products, as they are high-quality, always modern, come in many styles, and are diverse. At myBagFactory, each individual product is important, not mass production. There's a friendly working atmosphere, and the team is welcoming to everyone, which I think is great.

Not to forget: Dusty - our Happiness Manager

The myBagFactory team hasn't just gained human team members over the past year. Since the beginning of November, the Strauss family, the founders of myBagFactory, has welcomed a new family member: the young Labrador Dusty. With his cuteness, Dusty has been enchanting our daily office routine ever since, always managing to bring a smile to everyone's face.

We look forward to this in the new year

New year, new office. Yes, since myBagFactory has grown so much in the last year, we're moving into a new, larger, more modern office in the new year. The renovations are already underway, and we're really looking forward to our new myBagFactory home. Still in the heart of beautiful Munich, of course 😊

We also have some new products in the works that you're sure to love. We're also looking to the future with confidence and hope that we can finally get our suitcases out of the basement and travel again in 2021.

Looking back on the past year, we realize that 2020 was a year of many highlights for myBagFactory, and that, despite everything, it wasn't all that bad. Nevertheless, we're looking forward to 2021 with optimism and hope and wish you all a great start!
