Recycled bags from Sons of Aloha are growing
With our partner brand "Sons of Aloha," we primarily promote the special quality " Recycled - Sustainable ." But that's not the only highlight of this cool lifestyle and outdoor brand. In this blog post, we introduce you to the three newest Sons of Aloha products in our range. These are not only extremely practical but also look stylish. Real eye-catchers! We'll show you how the bags and backpacks are used in everyday life and how Mateo (eCommerce & Foreign Trade) uses them in his daily life.
But before we get into the items, a little general information: What is Sons of Aloha and what does the brand stand for? The brand primarily stands for sustainability and a better environment. The backpacks and bags are made from high-quality, water-repellent fabric, so you have a beautiful, durable bag while also doing the environment a favor. In recent years, the topic of environmental protection has become increasingly popular, and more and more people are committed to it. We are one of them. So, be a part of this special brand and enjoy your products!
Body Bags - Perfect travel companion
Comfortable and pleasant to wear is particularly important for most users of bags, backpacks and accessories. However, functional, comfortable products often look a bit "clunky" or boring. Not the Body Bag from Sons of Aloha! It is stylish, modern and has plenty of room for your things, while still sitting well on the body. Whether for sports, a hiking trip or a short walk, the Body Bag is a smart alternative to "overfilled trouser pockets". Mateo likes to wear it crossbody in combination with a hoodie. The two versions , olive-green and ocean-blue , can be combined with any outfit. When he meets up with friends, he uses the Body Bag to carry his cell phone and wallet. It is also very suitable for traveling, whether at the airport or during the flight, as you have quick and secure access to valuables and necessary travel documents, e.g. passport/ID or wallet.
Toploader Backpack - Storage space & intelligent layout in one
Are you looking for a larger, yet modern backpack ? Do you need more space for your things and will be away from home for an extended period? Planning a short weekend trip to the mountains or to the beach for surfing? Then the Toploader backpack is just right for you. It's large, spacious, stylish/modern, and comfortable on your shoulders and back. The padding makes carrying it for longer periods more comfortable and bearable. As an alternative to our best-selling "KANE" backpack, we wanted to develop a larger, yet practical backpack. Just like the "KANE" backpack, the Toploader can protect your laptop from moisture and bumps in the side back compartment. The side pocket is an optional extra for quick access to your cell phone, wallet, etc. With the intelligent interior layout and large opening, you have a quick and easy overview of your things. Another special feature that the Toploader and the Body Bag have in common: They are both water-repellent and will keep your things nice and dry even in the rain.
Recycled material - How we give plastic a new life
The new products in the Sons of Aloha range are made from the same material as the well-known, much-loved products in the "KANE" range. They have a soft, robust woven feel. The surface finish ensures that no threads can come loose. The material is made from a combination of "ocean bound plastic," organic cotton, and regular plastic. Unfortunately, it is not possible to produce the bags from pure ocean bound plastic, as the plastic loses its robustness during the recycling process . Therefore, some new plastic is added during production, but this saves energy and water in the process. Through our manufacturing process, we save the ocean from 2.5 kg per bag/backpack.
The plastic problem
Especially since the turn of the century, the problem of marine litter has become increasingly larger and more serious. All kinds of plastic, whether trash, plastic bottles, nets, or straws, have been found. Pollution in the oceans has become increasingly extensive and visible. According to reports, approximately 12 million tons of new plastic enter our oceans every year. That's equivalent to almost two truckloads dumped into the sea every minute of every day. Plastic pollution is present everywhere, even in the Arctic. Humans alone ingest approximately 5 grams of microplastics per week. That's roughly equivalent to a credit card.
