Annual Review 2022

Goodbye 2022, Hello 2023! Before we can fully concentrate on the new year,

We want to look back with you on the highlights of the past year 2022.

Barcelona

The year had already started with a major highlight: our trip to Barcelona, Spain. It was primarily intended for team building, brainstorming, photoshoots, and the creation of a mission for 2025. But thanks to tons of delicious tapas, refreshing margaritas, and a sailing trip, it turned into a fantastic short vacation with the whole team. At this point, thank you again for the drinks and food, Nik and Ola!

Our team grew

Our myBagFactory family keeps growing. This year, we've welcomed four new team members in the areas of video, logistics, e-commerce, and social media. To give you a better idea of our new additions, we'd like to briefly introduce them to you.

The video queen Nastya

Nastya supports the team in both creative and administrative areas. She handles everything from accounting and copywriting to video and photography. On the side, Nastya also works as a photographer for weddings and in the fashion industry. You can find her not only behind the camera, but also in front of it as a model.

The part-time model Mateo

Since October, Mateo has been responsible for logistics, our marketplaces, and e-commerce. But what he enjoys most is modeling for our products. In his free time, he enjoys going to the gym. When he's not out with his friends, you can find him in his studio, successfully producing his own music.

Alessandra - the social media queen

Alessandra moved from Italy to Munich to pursue her passion for fashion and bags at myBagFactory. Here, she has the opportunity to learn directly from the team every day, while also creating photos and funny videos for social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok. She also enriches the team with content translations in her native language.

Chris our E-Commerce King

Chris completed his Master's degree (Marketing & Communications) in Frankfurt at the end of September and decided to start a new chapter with us in Munich. As a (Junior) Brand & eCommerce Manager, he maintains the content for our various shops and will also create new online shops for our brands in the future. But more abstract tasks, such as competitive analysis and developing appropriate brand positioning, are also part of his repertoire. He is also very interested in philosophy and psychology. He plays a lot of sports and can occasionally be found gaming or playing music (piano/singing).

Our product range has expanded

We're thrilled about all the new styles we've added this year. Our designer has come up with new designs for four brands this year.

The result is timeless, minimalist, and reliable favorite bags for everyday wear. Under the Sid & Vain brand, 6 shoulder bags, 4 wallets, and 2 new travel bags are now part of our product range. These are available in our online shop in either lightweight goatskin or light Hunter Vintage leather. Our all-black brand FEYNSINN has also introduced some new additions. True to the minimalist and therefore timeless motto, many new leather bags are naturally available in robust black saddle leather. Inspired by the linear architecture of Berlin, the bags, with their simple and high-quality design, are eye-catchers that will add a certain coolness to your outfit in the new year. The BACCINI brand has made a small comeback with new colors and designs. Bags inspired by the Italian Riviera, in a classic and timeless style, significantly expand our range for women. These bags are not only beautiful to look at, but can also be worn in a variety of ways thanks to the removable shoulder strap: either as a clutch, cross-body bag, or as a shoulder bag.

This year, the Sons of Aloha range includes a bum bag in olive green and ocean blue and a top loader backpack. Perfectly designed for travel , the new bum bag has enough space for your passport, wallet, keys and cell phone. Best of all, it's not at all bulky and can therefore be worn under a jacket. The top loader has also proven itself on many trips. The quick-access opening at the top of the backpack means you can stow away a lot of things quickly and easily . A separate compartment on the back of the backpack also protects your laptop from the elements and other objects. Like all other products in the KANE range, we used recycled plastic in the production of these products. The transparent coating makes this plastic water-repellent and ideally protects your most important essentials from the elements.

Mrs. Sommer became Mrs. “Sommer Blüml”

At the end of September, we went to the wedding of our colleague Katha and her husband Philip at Lake Chiemsee. Just like every girl's Pinterest wall, we found ourselves in an idyllic winter garden right on the lake. Of course, for such a special event, we only brought the most beautiful bags. Like the new FEYNSINN clutch. Thanks to the wrist strap, it could easily be attached to a chair during the ceremony and then converted into a shoulder bag in the evening with the included shoulder strap. The bag sits so well on the body that it didn't get in the way even during the wildest dance moves.

Our Oktoberfest comeback!

Naturally, we wore dirndls and lederhosen. After a two-year break, we rang in the beginning of the Oktoberfest with several liters of beer and delicious food in the Käfer tent. From snacks to main courses, Kaiserschmarrn (sweet pancakes), and Jägermeister, we had everything. After we'd fortified ourselves, we headed high. After riding the Break Dance, Alpina Bahn, and Free Fall Tower rides, the beer tent welcomed us back. Oktoberfest was the ultimate test for our leather bags . They perfectly protected our cell phones, wallets, makeup, and keys from rain, external influences, and numerous rides.

Christmas party

Unfortunately, not all team members were able to attend this event. Nevertheless, it was a very successful celebration. We started off by preparing for the curling match with a few glasses of mulled wine. After playing two rounds, we toasted the past year with another glass of mulled wine. The highlight of the evening was a delicious tapas restaurant .
